High tech buzzard roost

I took this picture a couple weeks ago of a cell tower near the ranchito. Over the last year it has become the home of what has to be every buzzard for a hundred miles...they all show up here at sundown to roost together.

You might not know it, but there is a "pecking order" in the buzzard community. I pulled over to watch them one afternoon and it was hilarious...For obvious reasons (if you have ever seen/smelled buzzard ) you don't want to be on the bottom even if you are a buzzard.As a new "aggressive" buzzard arrives he will go right to the top and "chest bump" another buzzard off the top, That buzzard either bumps back, or goes down a rung and knocks another one off, who goes down another rung and lands if theres room or knocks another one off if theres not LOL. They are really fun to watch...

I actually think that's pretty neat. Buzzards fascinate me. The way they can circle for what seems like forever without flapping their wings hypnotizes me.
