... but do you really think that will be enough to get past the Jazz, Hornets and/or Lakers if they are all at full strength in the playoffs?

Popforbid if the Rockets ever get Artest and McGrady playing together with Yao.

Should I bother asking if the Spurs will be looking to improve via a trade?

I like Mike Finley as a human being, but he's the new official dead weight now that Bowen has finally and mercifully been put to pasture.

We need a Chris Anderson or Ronny Turiaf type that can give energy, block a few shots and get a couple offensive rebounds.

Or any number of swingmen on the Warriors to hit some 3s and create offense from the perimeter.

    No stiffs.

    yes yes no

    The Jazz are nothing
The Spurs have better offense to overcome Hornets this year.
The Spurs cannot beat the Lakers in 7.

Spurs still have a long way to go to be a serious contender in my mind. However, the talent and potential is there.
