TNT is more re ed with Barkley but I guess it was funnier as well.
Barkley makes the TNT entertaining and he tells the truth like it is.
There's nobody more annoying than Kenny Smith, and Barkley was always there to put him in his place, which made it entertaining. Now that's not happening, and the show is unwatchable.
Did EJ make any kind of statement about Barkley and when he'll be back?

Yeah, they opening 2-3 minutes of the broadcast was EJ and Kenny ripping on Barkley, but at the same time saying how they support him. EJ did mention that he'd be back for sure, though
The absence of Barkley was and is a bless wherever it happened or happens - except for the owner of a casino if it happens at a gambling table and to basketball fans if it happened on a basketball court.

Leave of absence gives Barkley time to grow

My good friend and colleague, Charles Barkley, is leaving us at TNT for a little while to take time for himself and get things back in order – and I’m happy.
Our show isn’t the same without Chuck because he’s a guy who adds the e to life. But life also is about growth and, for Chuck, it’s time for growth.
Some things in life can’t be avoided, but these incidents seem to follow Chuck. Could this have happened to any of us? Maybe. Anyone who has had a drink can, at one point, ask themselves, was I over the limit? But Chuck is a magnet because of his fame, his size, his mouth and, unfortunately, at times, his lifestyle.
My main man knows it’s time to reevaluate and retool and, more importantly, grow.
Let's hope Barkley does the inside growing and not the outside.
Shaq's too hard to understand in his normal speaking voice, and he's nowhere near as funny as Barkley. The only NBA player I can think of who had better jokes to the media is Brent Barry.
I'm just glad Magic isn't with TNT right now. It's bad without Chuck but without Chuck and with Magic I'd have to switch to hockey.
