Spurs At Bobcats Previews
thing to watch: Matt Bonner's defense.
I'm looking forward to this game, especially since I will be able to watch it (it starts at 8pm in my time zone).
Let's hope our boys can get it done early so Pop can sit out the Big Three in the fourth for the game tomorrow against the Pacers.
off-topic: this site needs to update.![]()
Flaws
It remains to be seen whether or not Mason will be able to fully recover from the shoulder surgery he underwent late in 2002. Mason saw little action in 2002-03 and has yet to prove he can play at the NBA level.![]()
The first of another back to back. Spurs should get some momentum going.
i Hope Matt does a decent job on Diaw...![]()
The bobcats frontcourt complements each other very well, wallace, diaw and okafor will be hard to stop
So who all is gonna be stuck @ work for this one?
I will probably see it in the office... busting my butt now to have some time available then...
i'll probably miss the begining of the game, the game is at 8pm in france
Bummer...1:00 tip.
I won't be watching this one.
Go Spurs!
i'd be asleep for this one. it'll be 3am here when the game starts.
Is League Pass free for this one? I heard that there is a period where it is open to anyone, from the 19th to the 24th I think.
19th to 25th
The Bobcats have been playing pretty well as of late. Should be a good game. If we can lock up Felton we should do well.
My boss is a huge Spurs fan, so he gave the office a half day...I will be watching the game!
diaw historically has problems against bigger guys so i think matt will be fine against him. i'm more interested to find out how matty fairs against the quicker wallace.
He guarded Deng damn good in stretches against the Bulls.
So for you Bonner will have face Diaw AND Wallace ?!?! (pick your poison!)
I think Diaw is a kind of X factor, he can play 4 positions and any given night (wen he realy wants it?) he can be unstopable and fill all the stats columns...
He is very unselfish and usuly fills the gaps made by his teammates (ether scoring, rebounding or passing when needed)
What I meant is that it could not be as easy as you think to deal with Diaw...
I'll get the watch the first hour but I have to go in to work at 2. I'll DVR the rest then watch it when I get home at 6.
We really need to step it up defensively in these next few games. The end of January holds a pretty tough stretch of games, so we need to use these next few to get back to looking like the defensive Spurs team we know we can be.
Referee Assignments
Mon. Jan. 19
San Antonio @ Charlotte: E. Rush, J. Forte, E. Roe
if i'm pop and it's january, i'll stick bonner on wallace to gauge how he will cope against a guy who has all the advantages against him athletically. there's nothing like practice to condition a mind.
pop already knows how to handle diaw. cover everyone else and make him beat the team.
Diaw burned us last year in the playoffs when Finley was guarding him so I hope Pop wont pull out the same strategy or should i say stragedy.
matt does move his feet well though he can sometimes be hesitant. (too afraid to get beat, i guess).
9PM!!!
