So the Nets gave up on stealing Campbell from the Pistons?

The Pistons team think they need a backup big man, and Don Reid seems the most likely candidate. Elden Campbell had asked the Nets about a buyout so that he could be released, but Rod Thorn, the team's GM, was not about to let him rejoin the Pistons.
