Just wondering how you would describe your political ideology? And current party affiliation/why?

Disgruntled Libertarian.
Whiggish with classical (i.e., 19th century) liberal inflections, plus US cons utional republicanism. I would say paleoconservative, but this not so much a designation of a political movement as a place-marker for the wistful and totally powerless political romanticism of a few isolated weirdos.
I hate both major parties in the US. I hate their puny fecal an hesis. Their solemn idiocy and triteness never ceases to amaze me.
I also eschew the minor parties. They all attact toadies and pernicious fools, then let them take over.
But I'm a big, big fan of our putative form of government.
