The opponent was mediocre, but anytime you blow a team out in the NBA it is a well played game, so good game for our Mavs. Best offensive game of the year IMO, although the Pistons matador defense and sloppy offense leading to fastbreak points assisted heavily. 5 guys were clicking... Bass, Howard, Dirk, Terry, and Kidd. Good mix of fastbreak points, points at FT line, points in paint, and points on perimeter.
Nothing much more to make of it, on to Boston... I hope we atleast show some fight, don't see the Mavs winning unless Boston has a REALLY off game.

Hate to say it Ghazi, but the "beloved Mavs" is a bit weird. Thoughts on the Mavs tonight would be fine.
And yes, great game for a change. I enjoyed watching the Mavs roll back the years at least for a night.
Dallas is now back in the playoff picture.
Hey dude, you.
He'll make these threads after every game, and you'll like it.
Take your sour grapes about the Rockets losing elsewhere!
bass had more than any piston

gotta admit that was cleverly funny, now find something clever to say the next time you start a thread![]()
PLEASE shut your fu*king mouth up you pathetic racist.
I'm not sure how much of it was a impressive Mavs performance or a downright depressing Pistons performance.

I wouldn't mind retiring the beloved Mavs in favor of non-sequitur free darko les.
i want some more hope and change.
I agree with that.
With that said I'd much rather be calling the Mavs beloved then the Suns tonight.
tonight was a good night to be a mavs fan, spurs victory excepted. Not too many of those lately.
it's hard to believe that as much as this team has sucked, they're only 2.5 games out of a top four seed in the west with half a season left. And they're such a tease: how do you go from a quit job against a sub. 500 milwaukee team to an impressive domination against a decent detroit team?
Not to take a lot away from the Mavs, since it was rare to see JKidd shooting without wanting to stab my eyes and JHo on the floor period, but Detroit just looked like they didnt' want to be there from the beginning.
Sunday against the Celtics will be interesting...and most likely, in a bad bad way. Maybe KG will start something with JJ Barea though.
I like these threads and I'm surprised that someone like sook or lakaluva didn't copy you guys with a "Thoughts on our Beloved [team] Tonight" series.
Now, i want this version of Mavs showing up against Boston, KG punk a$$ needs some reality check, and i count on Dirk to do the job.
I don't care what the Mavs have done, how inconsistent they've been.
Whup those Celtics on Sunday and even I will join the "beloved Mavs" fans.
And if you don't win, at least make it a good one, don't embarrass the West by laying down like the Suns did.
Ya mad props to the Lakers representing the west in the finals last year. They really gave the Celtics a run for their money game 6.
They didn't do too badly considering they were missing Bynum and Ariza. Suns had their full team I believe. Lakers showed what they could do with a healthy team on Christmas Day.
At this point, I no longer hate the Suns, just feel sorry for them. I miss the rivalry.
Amare wasn't there, you might have seen him but he wasn't there. He paid his brother to act as him for the night. The real Amare was going to look for condos in NY since he thinks that's where he's going in 2010.
Only certain people deserve pity. The people that go into every season saying, "God, Amare is gonna win MVP now that __________ is gone," deserve to eat .
