I don't know about Lebron but I'm sure Howard could do that.
Is this pre-motorcycle accident?
Don't know if this had been posted already.
The guy dunks in a 12ft high rim.
Would Lebron be able to do that ?

Glad he didn't bust up his knees when he came down.
He won 2000 and 2001, so I'm thinking it is pre.

Why so mute?
Pretty sure Lebron could dunk on a 12 foot rim.
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...n.james/1.htmlAt the NBA predraft camp six years ago, James's vertical leap was measured at 44 inches. Given that he estimates he gets about a foot higher jumping off one leg, that means that with a running start he could probably leap over your armoire without even turning horizontal.
6'8". 7’0¼”. wingspan. 56" vertical off one leg. He may not get there but he'd be awfully close.
This would mean that his head would be 8" below the rim. Yeah he's there and then some.
The NBA doesn't allow players to raise the basket during the dunk contest so we won't ever know
Dwight should try for 13 ft, and see if he makes it.
Incorporating his massive wingspan would likely put him well over the 12 foot mark. Lebron is 6 ft 8", plus a 56" vert bringing him to 136" plus the length of his arms above his head. A 12 ft rim is 144". I'm gonna say he could pull it off.
Yes, it was pre-accident. He's got just regular hops, now, unfortunately but at least the Spurs helped him rehab. They have nothing to show for that, now, other than rights to sign.
Javtokas' World Record
For a white guy.
Lebron can even dunk he's own head on it.
Boozer claimed he could touch the top of the backboard, that's more than 12-ft. high. Amare, Howard, Mcdyess(pre-injury) no problem.. Earl "The Goat"Mannigault was only about 6ft.3 but could snap a dollar bill place on top of the backboard.. lots of great leapers out there.
"Wilt Chamberlain was once bet that he couldn't grab a quarter from the the top of the back board(which is 13 feet high) so a took a quarter went under the basket, took one step and put the quarter on the top of the back board, landed, and then jumped right back up to take it down."
Is this a verifiable truth?
I know that Wilt's wingspan and athleticism would allow this to happen.
But did this event actually take place? When and where?
Thanks.

Can you give me the link of the picture or photos?
You can Google Wilt and the backboard quarter story, there is info out there. Like Phila_Chamberlain said, it's not do ented like we can get today, but there are references to it.
DH can dunk even if the rim was fastened on the moon, he is superman.
LeBron James is God
this circus trick probably got him out of the Spurs for good...
Wilt is the reason there's an NBA rule prohibiting you from passing the free throw line before the ball hits the rim because he used to dunk his free throws.
