that's why tp is best in attack mode....but i didn't realize his outside shot was suffering that bad....it will be upto pop to have tp run run run in the playoffs or set picks or whatever so he can get into the paint....otherwise, dev and brents shooting better come around or our teams in trouble.....

Tha problem is when Pop calling a Pick & Roll between TP and TD, if the PG don´t made the Jump Shot, the Defense come with Tim and Let Tony for Shoot

Uh, if both defenders go with Tim, Tony will be at the rim in the blink of an eye. You don't HAVE to shoot a jumper off a P'n'R, especially a middle P'n'R. Tony has also gotten VERY adept at going to the rim, and if the defense collapses, kicking to an open shooter.

Also, a quick foray into the lane can end with his teardrop shot, deadly as a cobra strike.

Tony is shooting nearly 50% from the floor. I'm not going to about his jumpshot or his 3 pointers, but I'm sure that he's fully aware of his weaknesses and will continue to improve his game.

I think there is some sort of basic flaw to his shooting motion, because his FTs have cratered this year, too.

Tony's shot mechanics, jumpers or FTs, has never been very pretty. If he makes them, no problem. But ...

Mid-season is not a good time to start changing shot mechanics. We can only hope he starts hitting as well as he did earlier.

I wonder if Spurs skills coaching has any plan for Tony after the season?

As the number 2 offensive option and drawing lots of fouls when driving, he just has to make his shots a much better rate.

The way it stands now, if a team can shut down the paint, and you know the Pistons will try, it worked for the Hear vs Spurs, then you shut down Tim AND Tony. Spurs lose.

I agree, his jump shots since about January have totally hit rock bottom.

I dont know why, he was great at the top corner jumpers coming from kick outs from Duncan.

    Now he cant make squat.

His tear drops and layups are going in though.

I hope though, by the playoffs, when teams take away him driving to the hole, like Miami, Detroit, or Seattle will do, that his jumper is still there.
