You need to switch it in the console/system settings (if you haven't done so). Usually people remember to change it in the settings but forget the switch on the cords.
i try to hook my xbox up to it and when i change the switch from tv to hdtv i just get a black screen, so as far as i know it's still in 480. any help is appreciated, brahs

when i switch it off of 480 and the switch is hdtv that's when it goes black. maybe i don't have it plugged in right to the tv or something.
