Since none of the 4 non american All Star players are first-timers (Ming, Dirk, TP and Gasol), i was wondering who could be the next international player to be picked for his first All star game... any idea?

Being french and biased, i think Diaw could be that one

In an ASG that would be worth something,
    Turkoglu,
    Fernandez,
    Calderon.

    Johan Petro.

    Just kidding

Seriously, Biedrins with a bit more development could be one of the next. And since Rubio should play in the NBA next year, if he's as good as advertized, my guess is that he could be an allstar with 3 or 4 years.

Yidiot jianlian almost made it this season, though we all know he doesn't deserve it.

Nene is really unbelievably good this season, especially when considering the surgery he had on his balls last year.

Besides, I would rather consider TD as an american.

Marc or Rudy. ing Spaniards have a crazy amount of good players. But I'd say the highest ratio of good bball players: pop would be Lithuania. Small ass country got to the top 4 of the Olympics last 2 times, IIRC.
