If you are going to pimp your site, at least post the story here too so people aren't forced to click on your link.

    Thanks.

    Ginobili Getting Signature Shoe?
About a month ago there was a rumor going around that Jordan was interested in adding Nobili to the Jordan Brand. I don't think that's going to happen, but I did notice that Nobili recently switched from wearing the Huaraches to wearing Air Max Ballers, which aren't for sale according to Niketown.com.

But, today I found this. According to Nike.com, there are only four players that wear Ballers (Pierce, Jefferson and Nowitzki) and none of them have the number 20. If you didn't notice, there's a 20 on the tongue in the pic, which happens to be Manu's number.

They are for sale at Eastbay, but there's only one colorway and no information is given concerning Manu. If anyone has any more information leave a comment of send me an e-mail.

Yeah, I remember reading that. But the shoes have his number and Spurs colors. And he was wearing a special colorway of the same shoe at the All Star Game. If you go to Nike.com it lists this shoe (the black one) as the one he wears. The picture is too small to make out the "20" emblem, though.

For whatever reason the Nike site doesn't show them for sale yet. But they are definitely his signature shoe. Maybe he was responding to the Jordan Brand specifically? Maybe he was being coy? Maybe he couldn't talk about it yet?

Manu's home shoes say "MANU" on the side of the back heal.

The #20 is on all of them, for the 20 years of Nike or whatever that they started that 20 trend with Pierce and Barkley advertising it last year.

But Paul Pierce has his own custom shoes.

Footlocker used to sell the shoes but I don't know why they don't anymore.

They are part of the Nike 20 Collection, Sungo99.

Last year, they also had the Nike Fleet Center shoe, and another one but I forget the name.

The Air Max Ballers are just this years continuation of the Nike 20 Collection

Well there you go. I know that players with signature shoes have special touches added to the shoes they actually play in (Timmeh has 21 on the back of his while the public version doesn't). However, my bubble is burst by your 20 explanation.

Yeah the 20 has nothing to do with Manu, but we can pretend it does.

Manu does have custom color though, and at www.nikebasketball.com you can check out the shoes that Manu wore in Denver for the All-star game, they're the Air Max Ballers with a color twist of Red,white, and blue.

Dirk wore the same shoes at the all-star game but with switched color pattern.

Where Manu's shoe is red, Dirk's was blue, and vice versa.

Al Capone was fat and had a scar on his face. Do you mean he looks like a gangsta?

No but Mafia bosses in those days liked to wear white gamashes over black shoes (I guess it was the top fashionable thing to do), that's kinda how those Manu road shoes look like.
