ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Orlando Magic have traded shooting guard Keith Bogans to the Milwaukee Bucks for point guard Tyronn Lue and cash considerations.

General manager Otis Smith announced the trade Thursday, three days after the Southeast Division-leading Magic lost All-Star point guard Jameer Nelson to injury.

Lue has played in 30 games this season for Milwaukee, averaging 4.7 points and 1.5 assists per game. He played in 76 games for the Magic in the 2003-04 season and will be asked to help fill the point guard shortage.

Nelson tore the labrum in his right shoulder in Orlando's 105-95 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. He is deciding over the next few weeks whether he will have season-ending surgery or hold off and attempt rehabilitation.

Lakers should have got him when Farmar was out. It would have taken a huge load off Fisher for those two weeks.

Lue always brings it hard and leaves the me satisfied. He can really fill it up even though he isn't that big but he just knows how to put it in

They still gotta be looking to do something else other than that. Maybe they are banking that Tinsley will get bought out. With the season going the way it is for the Magic, I would have been targeting guys like Beno Udrih or Earl Watson. You just never know if the team will have another chance like this season.

Hopefully, him and Anthony Johnson can kept it together while Nelson is out.

However, that isn't going to help them get past either Boston or Cleveland.

That's too bad..because Nelson was playing the best basketball of his career this season.

Beno Udrih would be a good option for the Magic. He can shoot the three and handle the ball pretty well.

However, he has a big contract from the Kings.

Tyrone Lue is about the same as Aaron Brooks. Both Midget Guards with about the same stats

    Aaron Brooks
    Houston Rockets
    Position: G
    Height: 6-0 Weight: 161
    College: Oregon
    Player file | Team stats

    Tyronn Lue
    Milwaukee Bucks
    Position: G
    Height: 6-0 Weight: 175
    College: Nebraska

Their stats would be nearly identical if Lue had Brook's minutes. Lue would have 8.2 ppg, 2.1 rpg, and 2.6 apg.
