Hang it out there enough and bad things WILL happen. I'm just grateful that my motoX wreck didn't kill me and that I was smart enough to stop while I was ahead.
damn he was a good freestyler to r.i.p jeremy.
Good call
there are many stupid ways to die

That is a ty feeling when you are in the air and know you are losing it.
Was this an X Games thing? I figured somebody doing that would buy it eventually. R.I.P.

Damn thats real sad... It is equal to Adrian Peterson dieing in the NFL.
what a waste of tattoos.
A couple of things went very wrong here. First of all, he tried to land the flip, even though it was extremely clear that he wasn't going to make it as soon as he started losing control in the air. He should have bailed at that point and just taken the broken leg(s) and ribs that would have likely resulted from the impact. He might have even been able to walk away.
Secondly, not only does he try to land it, but he keeps his grip on the bike even though he's drastically under-rotating in mid-air. If he ditches, he's going to hurt, but the fact that he held onto his bike as long as possible ended with the result that the front tire hit full force, which then transferred not only his own momentum from the height of the fall, but the bike actually slingshots him into the ground on his face and neck. I cannot imagine the force inflicted upon his body, and it's kind of surprising that he wasn't killed instantly. His helmet is absolutely shattered from the force of impact -- something I've rarely seen.
Had he bailed, he would still be with his family. Stupid, senseless death.

Alternate video.
The crowd cheers for him as he's being carted off, even though he's obviously completely unconscious. Idiotic. Don't cheer just because someone is being taken out of the arena.
In that video they don't even see the whole situation they just look like they are rushing to get him off the field. With a fall on the head you would think they would take some serious time and not run with him on that small ass board they put him on.
Probably because they are doctors or highly trained paramedics who can quickly diagnose if a person needs to be checked out first before moving or needs to be carted off right away for more serious assessment.
RIP Jeremy Lusk
I watched the video again and you're right SLY. they should have checked him out first before moving him because everyone knows you're not supposed to move someone when they have neck or spine injuries.
