Tony is on the list too with 6.

Noticed a couple of Spurs made the list. Maybe i'm missing some guys but I did see Finley, Ginobilli and Duncan.
Tony is on the list too with 6.
List must have come out before the Celtics game, Mason is 4 of 4, not 3 of 3.
Clippers, Suns, Lakers, Celtics.
Kobe and Chauncey Billups have terrible FG% in those situations. I wonder how either of them developed a reputation for being clutch?
With Kobe, thats always his shot to take. His relative numbers aren't good, but the absolute ones are what gets the fans' attention.
Not surprising to see LBJ at the top.
I actually looked for Parker and couldn't find him for some reason. Must've passed him up. Pretty good feat to have so many guys you can rely on to take the big shot of a game for you and actually hit them at a pretty good rate.
Manu's 6-for-21 field goal shooting isn't too surprising considering he's coming back from surgery ... but his 4-for-7 at the line is surprising because I don't remember him missing three clutch free throws.
Interesting stats, since the 03-04 season, RS and PO.
Tim had 9, Tony and Manu 6.
what is interesting is the overall very low FG % of these shots (29.8 %), surely because defense is very focused and some of those shots can be very quick shot with very little time left in the clock.
Tim: 39.1 % , Tony: 37,5 % , Manu: 28.6 %
someone viewed as a winner like Billups shoot at only 16.2 % and someone said as a choker on this board, Turkoglu shoots at 50 %. Deceptive ?
Tim has made 6 of 7 FT, manu only 4 of 7.
Tony had 4 assists and 0 TO, Tim 4 assists and 1 TO, Manu 3 assists and 4 TO.
Mason is 3-3 this year !!
it's for 5 years of RS and PO
and manu low % in clutch situation is a constant aspect of his game. Look at the last years of PO.
Good point.
Must have been those free throws against the Suns and Cavs in the playoffs . . .
interesting, i always thought manu was by far the clutchest on the spurs, it's really close.
look at the clutch stats (5 last minutes of a close game) from 82games.com, especially in PO, and you'll be even more surprised.
watch those games and you'll be really surprised.
which means ?
I've always assumed Timmy was our clutch guy(other than FTs, of course)..
as for guys like Kobe, Carter, and Manu..other swingmen that have good Js..they're obviously much more likely to rely on their J than a guy like Lebron, since they are more comfortable taking a long shot..so it affects their %'s..
Interesting they label a player as “clutch” only taking scoring into account… what about rebound, steels, etc, bball is more than just scoring.
rebounds, steals, TO, assists can be measured. They are in this stat linked and also in the clutch stats.
Defense and good execution of a play (screen, non-assist pass ...) aren't measurable though, that's for sure.
Tony had 4 assists and 0 TO, Tim 4 assists and 1 TO, Manu 3 assists and 4 TO.
These stats don't surprise me, both Tony and Tim are great in the clutch at actually making the shots. not just drawing fouls. Manu is one of the Top 10ish 4th quarter players in the league, but as a last possession player, I don't think he is as good as Tony or Tim. I've always thought the same about Kobe. Incredible 4th quarter player all the way down to the last shot which he usually bricks.
Side note: Manu is one of the clutchest rebounders I've ever seen out of a guard. Very underrated part of his game and when I'm watching a close game, I always expect Manu to come up with tough rebounds down the stretch, and he almost always does.
tough rebounds, tough defensive plays, gutsy passes... and a couple of boneheaded plays. he does everything big including mistakes. but he is there when the game is on the line.![]()
yes but he is not clutch though![]()
I can't remember....how many NBA Championship Rings/Trophies does Dirk have???
Oh yeah, now I remember...000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000
I'll take Timmy every day of the week and twice on Sunday's!!!
Dirk is a choker!
