OMFG the rockets MEDICAL STAFF has to be the tiest in t he entire country!
He was complaining about this for how long?!?!?!!? Wow fire those mother ers
HOUSTON -- Rockets guard Tracy McGrady could miss the remainder of the season, according to sources close to Local 2 sports. An MRI revealed missing cartilage in his left knee, which may require microfracture surgery to repair.
The possibility remains, however, that McGrady will try to finish the season. Dr. James Andrews, generally regarded as the premier orthopaedic surgeon in the country for this type of injury, will review the MRI before a final decision is made. Andrews advised those close to McGrady, that a microfracture surgery should only be used in a career saving situation.
McGrady and the Rockets will discuss options in a meeting at Toyota Center prior to tonight's game against Sacramento. At this point, the Rockets have no comment on the situation.

Next for the Rockets: 22 straight wins
Are you seriously ING KIDDING ME? How do the miss such a big injury...AGAIN!?!?!??!
The rockets have no excuse for this , when a 6'9" player stops jumping off his knee all together and can't dunk you know something is wrong.
If he has microfracture surgery his career is probably over.
Why can't we catch a ing break?!?!??!!!
I for one feel guilty about all the i have said about tmac sucking this season. I knew there had to be something to make him play that bad![]()
THese ing idiots told him to play through it the whole time and he was complaining....Just like Yao last season!
I am appalled beyond belief how are medical staff is so clueless
Blessing in disguise
You need to stfu, thats not cool. He was playing on that all season and most people called him a pussy. I feel bad for the guy, his career is most likely over.
If like that happens to dirk you'll know what i mean
Amazing how this come out right before trade deadline. T-Mac is clever.
You know, I'll go with Sook on this one. McGrady has had knee problems all season long, the medical staff should have known better. He might not have the drive of Kobe, but McGrady still led the Rox to multiple 50 win seasons. Now I still think Yao is their best player, but McGrady was not himself all season long, and the doctors should have delt better with the issue.
KBP, this is America. Maybe in Greece people do that.
Poor T-Quitter![]()
You notice doctor says not to have microfracture? Of course T-Mac is also know better then doctor right? He have the American high school education so he should be good expert on such matter right?
microfracture surgery along with tmac's mental state as of late is probably an indication towards his career ending.
You guys do realize that one of the problems that occur without proper rehab is deteriorating cartlidge.
Dang...the team can not catch a break.
DD
I'm pretty sure we can get by without Mcgrady because of Artest. But this really brings into question wtf the rockets are doing. Yao's injury caught me like a backslap but this? Come on
that would suck if T-Quit is out for the year and the Rockets actually win in the 1st round.
I bet he would root against the Rockets to lose in 1st round if he ain't playing, that would be a huge blow to him
gtfo here. Its not the fact that we really needed him, but he is our player, and if his career is over that is a sad sad day for him.
Even i didn't expect you to be so classless
Can you imagine if we finally get out of the first round, and T-Mac isn't playing?
ooh, the irony.
I think him going out helped us because him with that knee he was useless...the rockets need to pull of a trade for a decent wing or PG, because i don't see a team with Rafer and no tmac getting out of the first round...
A healthy tmac made the plays, don't leave that up to Rafer
Rockets have been in contacts with both Pablo Prigioni and Vassilis Spanoulis in recent days about coming to them to play point guard. But both players even though they have NBA opt outs is in middle of Euroleague top 16 and plays on teams with chance to win Euroleague championship this year. And by time they might be eliminate would already be past deadline to add NBA players for playoff rounds.
Rockets GM has even ask about Dimitris Diamantidis but he have no interest in coming to NBA.
But your GM is looking at point guards from Europe.
A couple Euro s won't save the Rockets.
does the sun rise every morning? do you have to pay taxes? is t-mac the most injury prone guy in the league today?
that said, i think it might be better for the rockets. no wafer gets more PT and the team can focus on playing D
