I am usually for Tiger, but I think it will really light a fire to this rivalry if Phil holds Tiger at bay and wins. Tiger obviously did not like losing #1 to VJ, and has come out this year better than ever, so another loss to a hot Phil will really make Tiger play and practice even harder.
I agree. I also think it is a good test for Phil and not allow Tiger to get into his head.
If Tiger goes for it like he has a tendency of doing..it could back fire big time.

I was kind of put off by Phil refusing to comment afterwards but he really wanted to put it to Tiger and the loss was just too much for him I guess.
Phill was upset with himself. I liked the fact that he wants to get right back into a mano a mano last pairing soon. This is great for Golf. It is Jack vs Arnie, Jack vs Watson revisited. The two most exciting players at the top of their games....can not get any better than that.
I think with Vijay at the top of his game and Ernie dramatically winning the Dubai Classic that this could be one of the best years ever in golf.
I hate VJ and so does Tiger, so that rivalry is not near as good. The thing that makes the Tiger-Phil rivalry so good is that half the crowd is rooting for Tiger and half for Phil...that makes it a lot of fun to watch.
The thing for me is, I like both too. I did not like Phil at all til the time he was so gracious to Payne Stewart in the US Open dual. I like Phil now, but still lean towards Tiger a bit.
Phickelson is a cool guy, I got to meet and talk with him for about 2 minutes at a golf tourney in 98 when i was in high school with out golf team and hes a really really cool guy.
I root for him, tiger, Justin Leonard, and Chris Dimarco most of the time.
But thats the great thing about the PGA Tour, lots of great guys that are classy and cool guys.
Vijay is a prick though, he uttered the famous like "I dont do autographs" to a group of kids at the Houston open a couple years back I attended and from then on Ive said him.
The fact that Vijay is a makes it more fun to see him lose. I think it's good for the game to see him play well and lose.
Tiger is hungry for another major and this could be his year.
I think the Masters is a lock.
I wonder if they have the odds up yet on that. If so, I amm going to bet.
It is going to be an interesting Master's. But Tiger hasn't got a lock by
any means. There are so many golfer's with the "tweak" going now days,

Same thing with baseball...just a lazy man's sport that should be called a hobby.
Most men who find golf and baseball boring is because they suck at golf and baseball. If you understood the game it wouldn't be boring.
I understand the game of golf...and I occasionally watch it...but I do find it boring sometimes.
On a side note, I saw that Real Sports thing on Vijay Singh....seems alot of people think the guy is a , especially his ex-caddy.
