NBA 2k9 is beasty, if I were you I'd definantly get that one.

I hope to the gods that EA or anyone else never secures exclusive rights to make the sole NBA game on the market like EA has it with the NFL. Without the compe ion 2ksports has we'd have a much inferior product and little to no choice but to whine.

While I liked 2k8, its on-lock defense system lacked depth and skill for the user compared to 2k9's.
Wow, I'm surprised that everybody says 2K9. Usually EA is superior by far.
Has the EA game really digressed? I haven't played in a long time.
Not to be an ass, but EA typically blows and has for quite some time, IMO. They are so huge, they care more about flooding the market with mediocre les and cashing in on the suckers.
One well known example of EA's suckage concerns their sports games' AI programs: they always cheat. In NBA Live and Madden, it was very bad for a long time - though they've improved it the last couple of years.
NBA Live has been really bad since '07, and hasn't been good since '03.

On Madden, I would rather have the PC at 3rd and 1 compared to 3rd and 12. The PC always knows exactly when to throw.

2k7 was good, but 2k8 was better. 2k7 had that re ed steal thing. Whenever you threw the ball up court, it was getting stolen for sure.

When Shaq can guard Tony Parker outside of the 3 point line ALL GAME LONG and then play the point, there is a serious flaw in the game.
Yeah that lockdown D was pretty bogus last year. Kinda ruined the game.
i have both and live 09 is trash compared to 2k9
2k9 sucked though. The laggy FT's, bad post game, 3's never miss, Kobe and LeBron god mode, and ty online.
