Agreed...What about Chandler?
I'm hoping for Wilcox, though Smith is probably a better fit for the team
Agreed...What about Chandler?
Chandler would be nice, but I don't know how realistic it is to get him considering his contract, and I wonder just how bad his turf toe injury really is (apparently it could hinder the rest of his career)
i'd actually like both. smith for his smooth jumper and all around game, and wilcox for his athleticism, rebounding, and potential blocking ability.
wilcox no doubt
Depends on the trade. Wilcox is the better player, but that means the Spurs would have to give up more to get him. Which deal would you rather make? Hill+Fab for Smith, or Mason+Fab for Wilcox?
And it's probably going to take a Mason or Hill to get those guys because OKC has no incentive to just trade expiring contracts for different expiring contracts of players who aren't as good.
I'd take Wilcox. His D is sometime suspect, but he is athletic & can rebound.
Don't want or like Joe Smith or Chandler (he failed a physical).
Either or. Maybe Wilcox more than Smith, although getting Wilcox would take a bit more.
Wilcox is so atheltic that it would be a great element to add to the team, just for that reason. But I hate that he doesn't try at all on D. All that athleticism and just 0.3 blocks a game. Come on, man.
blocking?..I'm prett sure wilcox doesnt even know how blocking is spelled.
I'm nothigh on trading mason or hill to get one of them, but if I had to, I'm going with the spurstype player here: age
...one smith and a coke please! (but only if it means oberto for him ....other players come back or are named horry)
Who needs those scrubs when you have Oberto best center atm.
i didn't mean that he is actually good at blocking. it's realize his stats are horrible in that category, but because of the fact that he's long and athletic gives him potential to get a block here and there, or at least change some shots in a defensive-oriented system.
yeah, but you cant use it as a argument over smith, who will block more shots even while beeing blindfolded!
What is Smith's avg for blocks this year? And I'd rather have Wilcox.
Dude, either. Just freaking get some help in the paint.

Done and done..now let's get it done.
Neither.
Not giving up Mason or Hill for expiring contracts.
Neither. We need another star player.![]()
Neither.
I'd rather the Spurs trot out the fragile, crackling s of Ian Mahinmi in 2-4 weeks when he's due back than trade for yet another stiff who's about to expire anyway (Wilcox, Smith) or a stiff who has several years left on their contract (Collison, Foster).
Good luck trying to teach Wilcox how to play our system, he'd be Elson pt.2 and it's not even debatable.
I have a feeling he's gonna get a new hefty contract and disappear Jerome James style.
In what has to be one of the stranger stories of the season, the deal that sent Tyson Chandler from the Hornets to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Joe Smith and Chris Wilcox is null and void this morning, after Chandler failed his physical on Wednesday. The teams heard about the news after their games Wednesday night, and Chris Paul, when speaking to reporters about it, said that the team” rejoiced” when they found out Chandler was heading back to New Orleans. So where does this leave the Thunder? Now that their deal for Chandler fell through, there is still thoughts that they may look for a last minute move for either Joe Smith or Chris Wilcox.
