Mikki Moore Acquired by Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics knew they needed another piece in order to repeat as NBA champs. They made significant changes to try to repeat on Thursday's NBA deadline.
The first move they made was trading away center Patrick O'Bryant to Sacramento for point guard Will Solomon.
The biggest move they are going to make, according to ESPN's Ric Bucher, is sign free agent Mikki Moore. Sacramento ended up releasing him after not being able to deal him at the trade deadline.
This will give the Celtics good bench help after losing shooting guard Tony Allen up to eight weeks due to his thumb injury.
Moore will give the Celtics another guy that can run the floor, hit mid range jump shots, and demonstrate good shot-blocking skills.
The Celtics did a good job at the deadline.

Good riddance. Spurs wouldn't be happy with him.
Moore sucks
I'm glad he won't be in San Antonio
I wouldn't have minded him coming over, but I think Rasho solves more of the problems.
The headline jumps the gun quite a bit.
haha thank god
This move would pretty much guarantee another one of these for the Cs.![]()
Mikki Moore's gonna be in high demand.
Celtics/Cavs/Spurs are probably all gonna make a run for him if he's bought out.
No, not exactly.
I know, I just want any excuse to post my favorite Big Baby pic.
I've read that Mikki Moore has indeed been cut from the Kings.
"I found out (he was cut) about 15 minutes ago. I'm on my way to the airport now. I'm just going to say goodbye to my teammates, say goodbye to coach (Kenny) Natt and tell everybody thank you for being true to me. And then I'm going to go to the office and sign papers.
His feelings on leaving Sacramento
"It's both ways. I'm kind of glad that I'm leaving Sacramento because I thought that I was going to make a home here. Especially after having a good season in New Jersey, I thought that they wanted me and needed me here. So I was looking forward to retiring here, but it just didn't work out that way.
"(But) these are the last years of my career, so I've got to get somewhere where I'm wanted. I'm looking forward to doing something."
So the celtics havent signed him? So theres a chance he could go to the spurs?
No OFFICIAL signing yet but it's odd that he's already on his way to the airport and seems to know where he's going.
