I hear he's keeping in shape.
    He's still big.
    He knows the Spurs.
    He can still set back(breaking)-picks.
He wouldn't be worn out from the regular season.
    He has two healthy ankles.
He can still jump higher than Fab.
He's better at making outlet passes than anyone on the team.
He's never failed to get to the second round of the playoffs. (Mojo)
    He's cheap.
    He plays defense.
He's hit almost as many 3's this year as Ime.
His AARP card would save money on hotel meals.

horry's regular season statistics for 07-08:

    31.9% FG, 25.7% 3PT

    horry's playoff statistics for 07-08:

    19.4 FG%, 22.7% 3PT

now i'm no hollinger, but that is pretty bad. simply not having horry on the roster playing makes the spurs better.

We're talking about the PLAYOFFS. Phoenix won't be involved.

Actually he will probably wind up with an NBA team next year if we don't sign him. He looks good enough to be a backup at the next level. He has been overseas and injured so this D-League stint is less about potential and more about him getting reassimilated and back in shape.

Plenty of Spurs have come from the minor leagues. Since we have no tradeable assets or draft picks, you should probably warm up to the idea.

Wow...it's come down to a choice between an inactive Horry, Rasho, some dude named Pops and Mikki.

    Roadkill comes to mind.

If he would be willing to just play defense, pass and rebound...I would be all for bringing Horry back. Unfortunately, I think his instinct to shoot 3's when open would get the better of him.

It would just be a comfort of mind knowing Horry is on the bench.

Maybe just seeing him in a spurs uniform on the bench but not actually on the team will make me feel better.

I think a 10 day contract wouldn't be a bad idea to test the waters. Last season was an all time low for him. Sometime he hurt more then helped.

yeah bring him back for the playoffs and send Udoka to the 'Z'league. Put him on Gasol and drive Gasol up the wall. Put Bowen on Kobe and frustrate the out of Kobe. Let Tony run circles around Fisher. Then let Timmy totally dominate and ruin life for Odom. Then let Bonner and Mason rain 3's down on the Fakers while Manu and Hill steal the crap out of them West Coast Fakers.

As a side note we should probably keep Vaughn in case Tony or Hill go down. And I guess keep Finley because there is always the possibility (although an astronomically slight possibility) he could get hot for a couple of games. So since Udoka has been hiding under a rock all season send his sorry, underachieving ass packing and let Horry take his spot.

    Well, a 2nd clutch 3 point shooter can't hurt

Mason + Horry on the court together in the closing seconds of a game ? Sweet !

No thanks. Not even on a 10 day contract. I'd be too afraid that Pop would fail in love with another, too old veteran.

We already have Finley playing too many minutes.
