First off you spoke too soon, the games not over.
Second off it has nothing to do with guts. You telling me our beloved Kidd doesn't give it his all every night? He just doesn't have great footspeed and that's why guards always burn us. It's no fluke that we have the worst defense against PG's in the league, and that's the story tonight. Duncan/Ginobili out means more shots for Parker, which is a pain (not implying we have a better chance with them playing, just saying).
Singleton and Wright are playing well also.
While I agree a loss is unacceptable, let's not generalize the entire team. Let's criticize the culprits: Dirk's passivity, Kidd's footspeed, and J-Ho being inept (but we already knew the last two).
This is the absolute best defense our secondary bigs (everyone other than TD) have played this season. Aside from Finley, the D is good.

Losses like these are excusable. The excuse is we ing suck at putting the ball in the basket, especially on the road, especially against good teams (even with 2 of their big 3 out).
I had a feeling the Mavs would pull this , incapable of exploiting injury woes to the opponent. If we can't take advantage of 2 of big 3 being out, we can't use Terry's injury as an excuse down the road.
Dirk's pissing me off with his lack of game imprint. I feel for him on nights like the Celtics game where he's doing it all by himself with no help, but the helps been adequate against Houston and tonight but he didn't come through. Same with Kidd.
I probably shouldn't be pissed, as this team regardless of tonight is going nowhere in the postseason, but this just irritates.
