Feb. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Paul Harvey, a familiar radio voice for six decades who used long pauses to punctuate his delivery of news and observations, died today in Phoenix. He was 90.
Harvey’s death was announced in a statement by ABC Radio Networks where his “News and Comment” was a fixture aired from coast to coast since 1951. He had impressed network executives with high ratings in Chicago, where he’d been a newscaster at ABC affiliate WENR-AM since 1944.
I remember listening to him as far back as I can remember.
My father loved him, I grew up listening to him.
RIP.
And now we know the rest of the story...

r.i.p. loved his little tidbits of info on woai.
Rip
I loved listening to "The Rest Of The Story," ever since I was a small child. Paul Harvey was, along with Garrison Keillor, one of the strongest inspirations for my desire to go into radio as a broadcaster. Rest in peace.
I heard his pieces my entire life. Most recently sitting in my car in the parking lot of my son's preschool waiting for class to be dismissed. RIP
He's easily the most talented person in the history of radio. RIP Mr. Harvey, andto a lifetime of incredible work.
