It's already annoying enough that you grab a plastic bottle and it immediately crumples in, I was just at Sonic and now the straws have gotten thinner.
I usually grab the straw, grip the paper and bang the table to get the wrapper off. This time I banged the straw and it collapsed, bent in 3 different places and tore a hole in it. I asked for a 2nd straw......same thing.
Everything is cheap now.
I've been pulling tabs off soda cans for as long as I can remember, but lately it just shears the aluminum around the opening and leaves pointy and sharp edges.
Straws getting shredded when you bang them down has happened a lot too. I find the highest quality straws from taco places, and those glass bottles of coke dont crumple like cans do.
