yeah...we lost to sam houston 2x this season, 1 a blow out 1 in a squeaker...if we can get past them (which it will basically be a home game for them), then we'll have a good look at it...

i think the good part is that it's 3 games in 4 days. there will be more than 24hours between the first two games and we've gotten hot for a few games in the middle of the season. i think it's certainly a possibility.

i thought it was choderunner fan but whatever college sports is college sports...most likely the winner of the SLC tourney will be in the play in game.
so, seriously, what does everyone think? when it's obvious that one of these automatic bid conference champions like the SLC will be a 16 and most likely will not upset a 1 seed, is it better or worse to be in the play in game?
as a utsa fan, i'd perfer them to be in the play in game, a little more exposure and, for me at least, another road game to go to.
It is worse to be in the play in game. You get absolutely no love for that game. I don't think I even see that game on TV.
The Islanders got quite a bit of press the year they were in it. Enough press that Arrow was able to take another job. The year before that Northwestern State had that miracle 3 pointer at the buzzer that put them over Iowa. It was voted the Pontiac Top Play for March Madness that year.
While I know you are being a smart ass, here is the basic information.
It is a Division 1 Conference that plays in Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
In football we play FCS, which gets little love around the country, and no love in this state. That being said, it is considered a top 4 conference in the FCS world.
In all other sports, we either play spoiler or doormat to the local Big XII, SEC, MWC, WAC, and CUSA teams during the regular season.
