I know this is kind of early to be discussing but I was reading the article on Fisher and the Lakers will probably bring him off the bench next season. Do you think Farmar is ready to take the starting position? I like Farmar but I'm not sure he's ready to be the starting PG. He can be erratic sometimes. I think he would be better coming off the bench.

    What do you guys think?

The Lakers have no money for other players so it's Farmar or bust.

Besides, with Bynum/Pau/Kobe starting, I'm not worried about the starting PG, it's the backup PG that I worry about.

, Smush Parker could run this team as a starter if he had those guys with him in the triangle offense.

jordan will be fine. ive noticed the starting unit slows down on fast breaks and settles for jumpers. when jordan he's speed will get him out ahead of the pack and he does a good job finishing

Good point. I guess I've kind of soured on Farmar, warranted or not.

They could make a trade to get a point guard though .

That's why I think he would be better coming off the bench. He makes alot of mistakes sometimes and you can see it irks Phil.

I wouldnt be surprised if Farmar is out of here. He could never lead a le conteder with his poor passing and ball handling skills. Fisher is not a good point guard either, but hes tough, and clutch. I dont think PJ gives a about Farmar, and I hope they trade him, I hope Shannon learns the offense and take his job.

Farmar can continue his blogging job at Playboy.
I kind of have the same feeling.

LA should try to deal Farmar for a high draft pick.

Being that he would be better outside of the tri, I'm sure they could find a taker - especially in a consensus weak draft with Farmar being a 2010 ending contract. Would a lotto team with 2010 dreams really want a rookie making $3-4M mil per or a sure rotation if not starting PG who is young, making less than $2M, and also an ending K they can let walk or re-sign.

Deal Farmar and LA's pick for a high round PG pick to groom behind Fisher the next 2 years. Next year LA would be fine with Fisher, Brown, and Vujacic in a pinch until the rookie is ready.

Im really excited about Josh, he is going to make it hard to resign Odom next summer. A good Hollwood story would be Shaq getting bought out, Lakers winning the le, Odom leaving, Shaq signing for the vet min, and bringing G. Hill with him for the vet min.

    Get it done Mitch.
Nah, Odom will be signed. Kobe will sign a new deal rear loaded to accommodate the lakers signing odom. Shaq will definitely be a laker again.

They should trade Farmar to some idiot GM that think's he's good.

I'm not kidding when I say this as funny as it sounds, but maybe as a backup, they should go after Goran Dragic. When he's been around good players this year, he's been great. Problem is creating shots for Robin Lopez ain't easy, especially for a rookie. They also have a coach that knows about confidence issues and knows how to push the right buttons with players. Dragic is talented, team oriented, works extremely hard and is a pass first player. He could succeed in LA.

Farmar was the Spurs MVP in their comeback yesterday. That little sucks so much yet has the biggest ego for some reason. We were better off when he was hurt and Fisher was having to play almost the whole game.

I haven't seen much of Dragic but I will keep an eye on him to see if I think he would work in LA.

While he's probably better than farmar he his strengths aren't really what we need. All we need is a guard who can spread the floor, and can play decent D. Is that too much to ask? We don't need a pure PG or a great playmaker. That is useless in the triangle. He can't be the type that likes to dominate the ball either.
