They did it a couple of seasons, 2003 and 2007 at least.
I thought they were cool but would of been better if they weren't so shiny and just a very dull kinda gray.
If you're watching the game tonight, it's the EXACT same silver as the side panels of their black away uniform shorts.
Old skool alert: it reminds me of the space suits from the black and white episodes of Lost In Space.

I like the idea of an alternate silver uniform but the ones we used before just had too much silver. They need to break it up with white or black panels along the side.
That is a bad ass uniform, I wish they sold it at the NBA store. Does anybody know if this uniform is available for sell anywhere?...
You can occasionally find the jerseys on eBay. I'm still looking for a Manu and a Tony in either a 54 or a 56 size.
They should have it as a Alternate Jersey
The Spurs looked like a bunch of 16 year-olds coming out of a rave. Those jerseys were hideous.
