Spurs fan rooting for the Suns, really?

Yeah, I have come to terms with my ego as a Spurs fan. I hope they make the playoffs. I have loathed this team since the early 90's when they kick our butts a couple times in the post season. But now I actually feel sorry for them and most of all, which doesn't look possible, I don't want the Mavs to make it. Not cuz they will be tough or anything, they are to me, what the Jazz and Suns of yesteryear were (minus owning us)...pesky archrivals. Cuban owning them probably adds pepper to the already unsettling tossed salad of players (whatever that means).

I find myself occasionally tuning into suns games. Then I pinch myself. WTF.

Yeah, I actually feel bad for the Suns. That was a freak accident what happened to Amare. If Amare hadn't gone down, Dallas and the Suns would have been fighting for 8th place. Sorry Suns. I know you hate the Spurs, but we still consider you our little brothers whose ass we kick out of the playoffs, but we do miss you. Shaq and Nash and Amare were fun to watch. RIP.

little brothers. I remember in 2007, the hate between the Suns and Spurs fans didn't start until those playoffs (Horry foul, suspensions etc.).
I remember the first game of the series there was a love fest between both Spurs and Suns players.

I'd rather the Suns make it than the Mavs. I wouldn't feel bad for Dirk since Dirk is younger than Nash or Mark Cuban, and the rest if they were to miss the playoffs this year.

I feel bad for Nash, and Steve Kerr (because of his dimwitted moves). And even Amare. They used to be fun to watch at least when they could score 140 on the elite teams, now they're just only able to score 140 against the Clippers and Warriors.

The Spurs will crush the mavs of this yr, 4-0 or 4-1 guaranteed we're quite a bit better, stronger, mentally tougher, as well as better on each level than the mavs get real"". theses aren't the same version of mavs from yrs past that would be closely compe ive to us like yrs past. also they could play us tough for a game or two but we'd blow them out in two games, and win the other two wins would close but we'd still beat them either 4-1 or very likley 4-0. the spurs take things to a very different level in the playoffs you should know this if you follow them.
