AC FTW!
Scottsdale is the place to live if you want safety(although there really is no safe place to live). Phx is known for car thefts and muggers.
Just found out today that I will be moving to Phoenix. Does anyone have any suggestions on nice areas to live in?

Basically, Don't live West of Central Ave. or South of Camelback.
OK, parts of Phoenix are. I really don't think the Biltmore area or the treeline Corridor is known for a high crime rate.
Maryvale, yes I would agree![]()
It's not a huge ass, it's a PAWG!
And you cant beat the traffic here in AZ. No snow, earthquakes, hurricanes or major flooding.
Only thing that's probably gonna bother you is the collective anguish and crying of phx suns fans at night before we sleep.
And that hot ass sun. I've been to Phoenix once in my life, and I was never that hot in my life. I'd probably be used to it if I lived in AC, though.
The thing that bothers me most about Phoenix is the collective stupidity of people when they're behind the wheel. Everyone seems to think that once a green light pops up they need to pause for 10 seconds and treat it as if it's a stop sign.
The heat is over dramatized IMO. It's a dry ass heat, dry heat is way easier to deal with than humid heat.
Its hot here but unlike FL, you're not gonna sweat here like a pig. Plus, everything is a cheap here.
exactly, plus you don't have as many old people out here. Plus (I'm Jewish so I can say this) Phoenix gets all the old Chicago Jews and Florida gets all the old New York Jews. They are both extremely annoying groups of people, but New York Jews are worse.
I see you love them NY jews, you should eat at Chompies in Scottsdale.![]()
I've been to Chompies a few times, and as I Jew, I don't understand why so many of us find that food so delicious and amazing. It's in deli food.
Best bagels in town. I think they have better bagels than einstein bros and their hot pastrami deli is teh .
I have no AC, so I suffer in that 85 degree heat.
I haven't been there in years but if I remember correctly they charged like 10x as much as Enstein bros does.
