12-19 in one game??
Holy crap!
12-19 on three pointers tonight.
Damn.
12-19 in one game??
Holy crap!
Yikes!
That's awesome for him.
tied with kobe bryant's record
Got damn.
No wonder the Spurs tried to get this guy.
Here's a question for the newfound Nazr homers: Who would you rather have have, Nazr or Donyell?
Is that a record for makes in a game?
I can't believe that Toronto didn't move him at the trading deadline. They could have gotten something decent for him.
His contributions don't always show up in the box score. Any of the contenders would love to have him right now.
And for the record, I would take Marshall over Mohammad.
Only way anybody could get Marshall was picking up Jalen Rose's contract. Maybe Spurs can get him next year.
Here's one. Who would you rather have Scola or Marshall?
Donyell is more versatile and would fit the offense with Duncan better.
The real question is whether you'd want to pursue him in lieu of Scola this summer.
Right now? Marshall. He's a proven commodity and he's a veteran. He could step in and help right now. With the team a little thin up front still, it's hard to know whether Scola could come in and thrive right away.
For the future? I'd probably rather have Scola. But Marshall would probably be much more useful right now.
Yup. Breaks the old one of 11.
Marshall tied the NBA record with 12 3-pointers and the Raptors broke the league mark with 21.

My money says that Chris Webber was "guarding" him for most of those threes. If so, this cements Webber as the league's second worst defender right behind Steve Nash.
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice trade there, Philly.
Donyell is only NBA 20th in 3pt %age. His bio-rythyms must have lined up today. A career game.
But he's still 11 postions better than Spurs' best 3 pt shooter. Bruce is NBA 31st.
I'd love to see Donyell on the Spurs.
Given our steal of Nazr from the Knicks, Scola is an unnecessary luxury. I'd say drop the MLE off on Donyell's doorstep at 12:01 AM free agent day (July 15th or whenever it is), and see what happens.
His outside game would be a perfect compliment to Tim, pretty much what we thought we were going to get out of Horry when he signed here, without the age as a hindrance.
Marshall is 32 (or will be shortly) so I don't know about giving him a long-term contract. But if he'd consider below the MLE for few years, it might be worth the pursuit.
Donyell does that though.
Ok..maybe he doesnt hit THAT many 3s in a game...but he will have a few really nice games....but then dissapear for a long time as well.
That is why Toronto is willing to move him.
This Webber trade has actually sucked for Philly
I had high hopes that we would definitely win our division and finally make the playoffs.![]()
When you factor in age and contracts, absolutely nothing excites me about Donyell.
He's a heck of a nice ballplayer to have on a team, but only for the right price (which means no to Jalen Rose) and only for 3 years, max.
If were going to talk about guys we wish the Spurs would have picked up, my favorite FA last year was Brian Cardinal.
After a slow start due to injuries and the Griz' deep bench, he is now firmly in the rotation thanks to Gasol's injury. Dude is a 6'8" banger who can hit the 3 and gets a lot of steals.
Here are his stats over the last five games:
The FT% is a problem, but I'm sure the Spurs could fix that.Code:Min FGPct 3PPct FTPct Reb Ast TO Stl Blk PPG 35.8 45.1 50.0 94.1 4.4 4.6 2.4 2.2 0.2 14.6![]()
Donyell is a more complete player than Nazr but Donyell has been given to disappearing for stretches...unpredictable and inconsistent. He's not as lazy as he used to be. He can defend very well, though and he has tremendous range. Donyell can't defend against the big pivots like Nazr can. The Spurs needed a stronger post presence and backup rebounder for Rasho. That's what the Spurs got.
Donyell is a great outside compliment to a premier big man.
Nazr is a great inside compliment.
We got the inside compliment, I have no problem with that, but I won't complain if the outside one shows up this summer with a three year contract in hand.
I had court side seats, twas a good game. He forced 2 threes at the end, shoulda been 12-17
