I saw it yesterday and briefly flirted with the idea of ending my long standing hallucinogen boycott.
Here is a link to the trailer for the movie:

Where The Wild Things Are was the first book I read as a child. I have always loved the story and I can't wait to see this movie.
I only wish my daughter was old enough to see it. Well, I guess we'll see it together on Blu-Ray when she's old enough.
Anyway, the trailer looks good.

i haven't clicked the link, but F-ING A!!!!!!!!
this better not suck!!!
I don't think it's going to suck. The trailer just fills me with anticipation for this movie.
Of course, I felt the same way when the Watchmen trailers came out and the movie pissed me off.
But, e Jonze is a great director and I have faith in him.
wow. that gave me chills.
Great use of an Arcade Fire song.
What's crazy is that like a year or more ago, some test footage leaked from this movie and was so ty looking that people thought it was fake. Given this trailer, you can tell it was real, but man, this is so much better by comparison. Any doubts I had as a result of the test footage have been alleviated.
No .
It was perfect for that trailer.
God damn, I want to see this move NOW!!
There was also the issue of the studio wanting to do the whole thing all over again because they were complaining that Jonze had made it "too dark".
They wanted a happy-happy Disney movie when that's not the spirit of the book.
Jonze won the fight, though, and I think it's going to kick all sorts of ass.
This is one of those films that I am specifically trying not to get too excited about (because a letdown would suck horribly), but the trailer looks great. Gandolfini is, I think, an especially good casting choice.
no more lsd for me but...![]()
Wow that looks great. It can't possibly be long before there is a big screen adaptation of "GO DOG GO" and then I can die a happy woman![]()
"And it was still warm." (sniff) Love that book.
Wow, what a fantastic trailer.
I have both the english and german version of this book.
I don't know how the they were able to get a feature-length film out of that book, but it looks ing cool as .
Is e Jonze the new Terry Gilliam?
I'd love to have a german copy of the book.
Quite possibly.
Did you know that Gilliam wanted to film Watchmen? Can you imagine what that would've been like?
It probably would have sucked as well. Some things are sacred.
Awesome to the nth degree.
I'm out of the loop. Never heard of it but I'm not surprised since "Cat in the Hat" became a movie.
You never heard of it???
You didn't read this to your daughters???
Dude!!!
As soon as my Julia starts learning to read, that's going to be the first book I buy her.
Odd that you've never heard of it, I think your kids are about the same age as mine: 15, 13(next month), and 11? Even I read it as a kid, it's from the early 60's (I was born in 69).
