what's the take for jmu in this tourney...i read somewhere that UTSA and a hand full of other smaller schools didn't get invited cause the cit wanted a mandatory gate attendance for the home games?

There was a buy-in, and they were looking for geographically close teams to limit costs.

Host team needed to be able to produce $60k minimum in ticket sales for the CBI, didn't even know about the CollegeInsider Tournament (CIT).

There's some pretty well known mid-majors in the CIT.
