i feel pretty strongly about the spurs finishing with the 2nd seed..
so i THINK we'll be playing the trailblazers, or mavericks - any team that lands the 7th spot.
i'd love to play the trailblazers.
come playoffs, i think they'll fold.
Just to clarify: I am not asking who you think the Spurs WILL face, but who you most want them to face. Now, you can interpret that as the team you think will be the most interesting matchup, or the easiest matchup, depending on what you look for...
I'm eliminating the Lakers since there's very little chance of them facing the Lakers in first round.

Trailblazers are a bit of a wild card, since they're so green to the playoffs. This could mean a quick exit, but it also could mean a much tougher matchup than anyone imagines.
Spurs own the Jazz so I went with the Jazz
I want suns!!!!!!
Yes, bring on the Mavs !!! a little Texas Duel and the the Rox and then we kick the Lackers in the a** !!! In the Finals we bring LeBron to Cry !!!
Mavs. Less travel time, more rest time.
Portland is looking good, no way do i want them 1R.
Nuggetts will cheapshot when beaten, don't injury threat.
Easy one, Nuggets. There is nothing easier than beating a team coached by George Karl in the playoffs.
Jazz! Spurs have little problems to defend their bigs, but vice versa they still need to double Tim. they have absolutely no chance to control our back court. the only player we don't have a good match up for is AK 47 and he seems to be in a slump again. Spurs in 4 or 5.
I don't care as long as we lose game one.
The Nuggets would probably be the easiest win, followed by Portland, then New Orleans. At this point, you don't wanna play the Rockets in the first round, probably not Dallas either because if they sit in the 8th seed they will likely be a tough opponent for the Lakers.
Not to say the Lakers won't kill them, but make no mistake, the Mavericks are still a decent team.
LOL. I didn't include the Suns cause it's gonna take a miracle for them to make it *IN* the playoffs, and if they do they'll be #8 which gives them a Lakers matchup. Which, if by some chance this happened, would be AWESOME cuz Shaq would be very determined to make mincemeat out of Kobe & Co
I picked Blazers. I don't think they are any worse than the others, I just think that their collective lack of playoff experience could be something the Spurs take advantage of.
on behalf of the spurs I would like to see the spurs face the rockets, it's gonna be a little dish for spurs to wipe out those first round chockers.
but as a fan I am more willing to see the spurs give us a derby series with our boys in blue, hopefully that will be a great matchup that will definitely bring tons of excitements to us fans.
Mavericks - Like someone said before, the travel would be minimal and I think they have the weakest team of all the playoff contenders...
La
I want Dallas real bad, but would rather play Nuggets/Blazers to ensure quickest win.
The Mavericks for the afore mentioned easy travel and I like the idea of knocking them out in the first round. I think the Spurs will dismantle any of these teams if playing well and healthy. I am more interested to see what match up LA gets and how tough it will be.
I originally wanted Denver, since our last two championship runs featured the Spurs wiping the floor with the nuggets in Rd. 1, but after JJ Barea opened his mouth, I'd like nothing better than for the Spurs to slap it shut for him.
.....and believe me, nobody should want the Blazers right now. That's just asking for trouble in the first round.
I want the Lakers but as I can't pick them I'll go with the "shut Barea's ass" option.
++++1
I don't want Portland they'll have nothing to loose.....It's a young and fearless team.
None of the above.
Suns. I like watching the Spurs outrun the runners.
Second choice, the new kids, Blazers.
Hornets are in the worst shape recently
Why would a Spurs fan want to play the Mavs? The Spurs still have no one to defend Dirk and due to that alone, the Spurs could potentially lose that series. Even if they don't, the Mavs force Duncan to run all over the court and that would be difficult on his knees.
The Spurs first round is going to be difficult, especially if they have to play the Mavs or the Hornets.
I think the West can be ranked by Lakers, Spurs, and the rest. I would rather be sure to get the 2 or 3 seed to avoid playing the Lakers earlier. Assuming Manu will be up to full-speed, I don't think any other team will be a major hurdle. If not, then it looks more like a quick exit no matter who it is.
