program icons have gone missing

hey gang

can someone help me, my icons for many programs such as microsoft office and others have gone blank, the shortcuts to them are still there, but there´s just a blank white box instead of the program´s original icons.

any fix for this ?

Delete the shortcuts and then recreate them.

i am not saying for sure what has happened but i know back in the day i had gotten some type of malware/adware/etc and it wiped all my icons clean and made some shortcuts extinct. might wanna just check your system first for anything.
