so if we get the #8 seed we play the mighty Lakers and the #7 seed gives us the 40 point game 7 losing Rockets who havent won a first round series since the fall of the Soviet Union.

I think the Nuggets will get the 2nd seed. They owned the Mavs pretty bad in the regular season, but I'd rather play them than the Lakers.
Yeah..Nugs or Spurs will get the 2 seed. Rockets schedule is too tough. We'll have to see...Nugs are up a half game right now.

As I predicted, once they got rid of Iavaroni and his Mayo/Gay vs. 5 offense, Conley proved to be, not a top-5 pg, but a legit NBA prospect.
id rather play anybody in the west than Lakers. the only series that i would feel really comfortable with is houston

At this point, the Grizzlies are a more talented team than the Mavericks. They needed to executed well which they did, the Mavs gave a piss poor effort defensively, Grizzlies win. No surprises here.
As soon as I saw the headline "Mavs only 1 game away from the 7 seed" I knew immediately that the Boys In Blue would take another golden opportunity and piss it away. Like they've done all season.

The defense stepped up for the mavs down the stretch. This loss falls squarely on Dirk and JET's shoulders IMO.
The Grizzlies hit a bunch of luck shots though, along with that bizarre play to end the 3rd giving them 2 points.
