the celtics are below my respect
I'm one of the many guilty parties that forgets that they are RIGHT THERE as a contender. This is unreal, especially considering the smackdown they put on us last year. Despite numerous injuries (moreso than any other elite team), the C's are gonna win 60+ games AGAIN--f'n amazing. Yes, Orlando swept us in the regular season, but Boston (fully healthy) is the only team that scares the outta me in the playoffs. Props to the Celtics for somehow flying under the radar despite being defending champs and on pace for another 60+ win season. You are our long time rivals and I respect the outta ya![]()
i dont have any respect for a franchise that goes from winning 20 games year after year to suddenly winning the ing le the next, signing any and all players they need to fill every key position along the way.
it traditionally takes years of building to get to this point...when a big-market franchise with a storied past suddenly goes from bottom twink to league-slaying an from one year to the next, along with incessant hype, commercials and media attention, somethings not right.
Winning 60 games in the East is about equal to winning 45 in the West to me. Good, but not overly impressed.
I don't know about that, the Celtics will be dangerous come playoff time, and they've been injured.
In fact, the top Western conference teams have tier records against the East than against the West. The only Western Conference playoff team with a ty record against the west is the Mavs. The West is still better than the East obviously, but they're overrated. At this point of the season, the Lakers look like the only team capable of winning the championship out of the West.
They're 21-9 against the West. How does that equal 45 wins?
West isn't even that good this year lol.
Thank you for your respect but I dont see any reason for Laker fans to have doubts this time around. They added Bynum/Ariza this year and look determined. Meanwhile the Celts lost Posey and dont have a legit sf off their bench. I know we will fight tooth and nail in the postseason but the loss of Posey is going to really hurt this team.
I used to live in New England, loved the pats and still do but never grew on the Cs
It's ok, you'll have rematch and a chance to beat them this year in the Finals.
Stern will send both teams to the finals again
They have more energy to get wins against the West because playing the majority of the teams in the East is like getting a night off.![]()
the suns would easily make the playoffs in the east and in the west they are done its too easy in the east. its not like other elite teams havent had injuires, spurs, lakers, cavs, orlando etc so its not an excuse
Or franchises with grade A talent that get lucky due to injuries in the draft and get one of the alltime great bigmen....
