And, if the reason we're hated is because previous presidents haven't subjugated themselves in this way, why is the White House denying it? Why not just say, "Yep, it was a bow; the President was showing respect for a monarch."
Not knowing Presidents don't bow to "royalty" I would not have thought this a big deal. I still don't. I figured it was a show of respect when meeting others who carry out different customs. Much like American businessmen when meeting Japanese partners for dinner.
I just found it funny the yahoos in D.C. felt the urge to outright lie about it when it's right there on tape.
