Val Kilmer should have won an Oscar for Tombstone. He was brilliant as Doc Holliday.
"I'm your huckleberry."
Its not a recent one, its funny, I found it in the discount bin at Randall's here in Houston.
called "At First Sight" Val Kilmer, Mira Sorvino.
Absolutely mind blowing, fabulous movie.
I mean, after it was over, I was speachless, its the most touching, engaging, warm movie I have EVER seen.
Easily EASILY, the most underrated movie IMO of all time.
Val Kilmer and Mira Sorvino did absolute spectacular jobs.
Now Im sure I'll get made fun of for this, but I could care less.
What was even MORE amazing??!?!?! A true story.
I felt absolutely heartbroken for Val Kilmer.
the ending is quite amazing too.
If you haven't seen it, curl up with the one you love, and give it a shot.
5 out of 5 stars.
Val Kilmer should have won an Oscar for Tombstone. He was brilliant as Doc Holliday.
"I'm your huckleberry."
Agree there too.
THough his performance in this movie might have trumped that performance.
Both great stuff. A very underrated actor.
His best movie has got to be.....
Great movie...my favorite of his.
thank you solid.
Id like to think I am.
After I finished the movie, I did some searches on blindness, the blind and such.
Makes me add another thank you in my prayers to god everynight before bed.
Mira Sorvino, on top of being strikingly beautifull, is a suprisingly good actress.
Once again, this movie is from 95, and I didn't remember it.
But dang, did it get much pub??? It should've honestly gotten oscar nominated for picture, actor, actress, and supporting actress for Virgil's sister.
I apologize I should I guess give the storyline I guess a little.
Mira Sorvino is an architect, who at the beginning of the movie goes on vacation.
Totally stressed, she goes for a massage and meets Virgil (Val Kilmer)
They talk, they connect fall in love, then from then, she finds out about this surgery that would repair his eyesight.
Alright, after that, I gotta leave it up to you to watch, but I easily, cried about 10 times in this movie.
Not sobbing, but tear runnin down the cheek.
Absolutely the most heart tugging movie EVER.
NOT Bs heart tugging anic style.
Real life problem hear tugging.
I remember that movie. It was very good. I was a little disappointed that Mira Sorvino didn't get naked though.
Seriously though, great movie.
Whatever happened to Mira? She got into movies because of her Dad, Paul Sorvino, but she actually deserved it, not like Gweneth Paltrow. I think if it weren't for her Dad, she would've NEVER EVER made it into hollywood. Can't stand her. Why is she famous again???
Her mom being Blythe Danner probably didn't hurt either.
mira is hot....val kilmer topped out as iceman and was good in real genuis, agreed....not much for tear jerkers park, but if i see this one on tv, i'll stop and watch for a bit next time....thanks for the tip.

Thank you Zak! My day just got better!
He didn't top out as Iceman...he was awesome as Iceman but he was better as Doc Holliday. He has one of my favorite lines in the movies.
When a couple of guys ask him why he is helping Wyatt Earp because the bad guys aren't after him his response was...
"Wyatt's my friend."
The other guy responds with " , I got alotta friends."
Doc Hollidays response...
"I don't."
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
Real Genius was so great.
To be fair to Paltrow, she's had some great roles in movies such as Sliding Doors and Shakespear in Love.
Mira never had any great movies. I love the replacement killers, but com'on.
He was pretty good in The Saint, although I just basically liked the movie, not necessarily Val's acting. I also liked Elizabeth Shue in her role.
haven't seen the saint, but good point with tombstone duff....that would definitely have to be his best role...
Kilmer was good in just about everything .. Real Genius, The Saint, Tombstone, The Doors, Heat ...
I loved Kilmer in Top Gun and in Tombstone....but have you ever seen Spartan? Kilmer pulls quite possibly the worst acting job in the history of the world.
"At First Sight" is a chick flick. Too mushy for me.
no black people I know Ice, its killing you.
I really liked his performances in two of his more recent (but not widely known, and marginally mainstream) films:
The Salton Sea, and
Wonderland
They both stayed with me for several days after viewing.
Aww...what about Romy and Mic e's High School Reunion?
I liked Mira in Woody Allen's Mighty Aphrodite
She won the Oscar for that, right?
