song: In my room
Songs similar to this one.
Any good ones out there?
DeVotchka puts out some great music. If you haven't checked out more of their stuff you should.
radiohead - "talkshow host" or "karma"
mazzy star - "fade into you"
Collective Soul - "run"
a fine frenzy - "almost lover" nothing to do with my name![]()
Some good songs! I completely forgot about Yaz!
One of my favorites was Johnny Cash's rendition of Hurt.
Also, cant forget about the many timeless songs by Pink Floyd... I still have a vinyl album with the cover both in immaculate condition. Nothing like Pink Floyd on a true record, a CD version just doesnt cut it.

Two of my favorite songs ever. I took the liberty of getting links:
"Talk Show Host"
"Fade Into You"
Also thought of:
Radiohead - "Exit Music (For a Film)"
Björk - "Bachelorette" (crappy youtube choices)
Stabbing Westward - "Goodbye" or "Desperate" (or any song off Darkest Days, really)
Flaw - "One More Time"
Staind - "4 Walls"
Hurt - "Flowers" (even thought it's kind of a tounge-in-cheek melodramatic song)
I love Yaz!![]()
Total Eclipse of the Heart
Surprised B2B hasn't chimed in ... his whole life is a melodrama
That song is one of the most emotional songs I've ever heard. Beautiful and depressing at the same time.
^^^Those are some good ones.........
Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees
Embedding is disabled so here's the link:

Garbage - "Milk"
Portishead - "Glory Box"
Portishead - "Sour Times"
Good picks.
cant forget a must...
Gary Jules - "Mad World"![]()
I really like that GoW2 song that they used for the commercial.
"Bittersweet Symphony" - The Verve
(although I think the whole "being a " theme of the video kinda ruins it for me)
...and I don't know if this qualifies as melodramatic, but because of all the other Radiohead recommendations, I had to throw in my fave

There's nothing like Pink Floyd period.
By the way does anyone know that Radiohead song with the music video that has the singer walking and running through a forest and there is crows and he becomes a tree in the end or something like that. It came out sometime in the early 2000s
EDIT: oops, that's actually the song they used in the first GoW commercial
