    They have similar games, IMO.

    And it's kinda odd how cheap we got him, just like LA got Gasol. I guess the diff is one of our ex-GM's didn't giftwrap and hand him to us.

    I don't think Gasol is great. Mid range shot, blocks a shot once in a while, good post game but not GREAT, and a overall good player. I bet if you go back 2 years and let the Lakers get Gooden instead of Gasol, he does the same stuff for them that Gasol has until now.

    I've actually wondered how our matchup with LA will workout now that Gooden is here. You can bet Gooden will see significant minutes vs. Gasol. At least we have someone to counteract some of LA's incredibly tall front line.

    When Gooden gives great effort the gap between his game and Gasol's is fairly small. What I've seen from Gooden's game, however, is that those type of efforts are never a given.

    WTF? Gasol is a high IQ talented big man that has a deadly mid-range jumper and great passing abilities. And is taller too which helps on defense.

    Gooden is a somewhat talented and athletic player, but he has too many flaws.

    Gooden can improve with the Spurs. I don't think he'll match Gasol, because he's not smart enough to.... but he can work on his strengths to balance out that match-up by knowing his limitations in Basketball IQ.

    For instance. Gooden isn't afraid to Dunk, and he can be the anti-Gasol if he utilizes his strength, moderate athleticism next to TImmy. He can also work on his passing ability like Shaq did.
