Is this not the 3rd offseason he would be a RFA? I'd like to see what he could do in SA.

I've always really liked his potential in the Spurs system - my question is about his mindset these days. After going through so much in his personal life the last couple years, is he just going through the motions on the court?

Can any Detroit posters comment? I think I remember him once saying there was no joy in basketball for him anymore.

At least with him we wouldn't have the issue of him playing for his national team in the summer.

Another guy I've thought would be great for the Spurs. But after watching him, I agree that he doesn't seem to be interested in playing anymore. Could it be the environment in Detroit?

In Argentina, the bride's mother accompanies the bride and groom on their honeymoon and inspects the bed linens the morning after to confirm that she had never before been with a man before that night. Positive confirmation reduces the amount of the dowry by half.

    Out of town

The Pistons will not make a qualifying offer to forward Walter Herrmann , making him an unrestricted free agent on July 1. He is expected to play in Europe.
as mentioned, he will get some nice offers in Europe, likely from Spain.
but Spurs should still offer him a minimum contract. who knows, maybe he is interested to join Manu. for small money he would be a nice 11th or 12 man.

I think Walter has lost all passion for the game, which is understandable after all he has gone through.

I feel bad for Hermann. He could have been a solid contributor to some team in the right situation, but it never worked out for him.

And unfortunately I don't think the Spurs are the right situation for him either.

If they can address the bigman rotation without using the LLE, I'd like to see what he can do in SA.

The personal tragedy he has endured is one of the saddest stories I've read in years. I hope he has great success in the future.

On a happier note, the video from the post above is hilarious.

This guy would be a fantastic Udoka replacement.

I can see him as being a backup 3. The dude is talented, and I think he should have a shot at being a contributor on a contender, maybe the Spurs. I think he's better then Udoka. I believe he retired from international play so he could keep playing in the US. I would like to try him out on this team.

Great offensive player, he can shoot the 3, atack the basket and finish pretty well (and fancy). He kinda sucks at defense, but he can help at the boards from the SF and even SG positions.

    Good player.

He shoots the 3, can get to the rim a little bit, hustles, and generally knows how to play the game, so I wouldn't be against the Spurs giving him a shot if they've got a spot to fill. (He must have some pretty huge hands with the way he's able to maneuver the ball.)

Plus, he's got a name that will surely be butchered by the local and national media, so he should fit right in.

    His hands are massive..

I wouldn't mind Herrman off the bench at all..the reports are that he's going to Europe though..maybe Manu can give him a call..

Spurs should seriously consider this guy. No way he is staying in Detroit. I'd rather have him than Delfino.

I agree I think putting him back with Manu would be a huge help to probably both players. The guy does a little bit of everything and would be a HUGE improvement over Ime Udoka! I also love his passion for the game and that is what I want to see more of our players playing with a little at ude.

If we can't get Sheed then get Herman and Zaza/Dice...but Sheed and Herman would be sweet.

    C. Sheed/Ian/Bonner
    PF. Duncan/Herman/Blair
    SF. Jefferson/Finley/Gist
    SG. Manu/Mason/McClinton
    PG. Tony/Hill
