relax. he didnt call him out. he said hes a challenge for him. he did horrible against the jazz because the shorter guys would just take charges and run around him. im sure a back to the basket post guy would be a better matchup for drew.
Easy there fella, you got your wish. Now Yao is going to school ya.
Bynum Wants Yao in Round 2
by Marcel Mutoni
Typically, NBA players refuse to tell reporters which opponent they’d like to go up against in the postseason. To which the Lakers’ Andrew Bynum says, to with all that!
Bynum, currently enjoying a few days off with his teammates prior to the start of Round Two, has a rooting interest in the Rockets/Blazers series. He wants Houston to win, so that he can go mano-e-mano with Yao Ming.
The Press-Enterprise jotted down Bynum’s wishes for the next round:
Andrew Bynum had just mentioned for the third time how excited he is to face Houston’s Yao Ming in the second round when someone pointed out the Rockets still must win one more game to ensure that clash. You know, that’s a lot of confidence for a dude who averaged a measly five points and three boards in the previous series (in which, by the way, he didn’t face anyone even remotely as imposing or good as Yao, and could barely get off the bench some games.)
“Yes, but that’s who I’m thinking we’re going to play,” Bynum said, matter-of-factly. “They have two games to win one.”
“It makes me very hungry,” Bynum said. “I can’t wait to go out there against a challenging player like Yao Ming. I know I’m going to play better just because it’s a big guy I’m going to go up against.”
Be careful what you wish for, Andrew, you might just get it.

However, the one thing the rockets have going for them is that the season series went 4-0 to the lakers, and some laker players might be a little overconfident....In the Utah series, Lakers had a couple of big leads and let them get down to something like 6 points in final minutes of the games...Rockets will battle.....Lakers in 6
Um he said he's looking forward to the challenge of playing against Yao Ming. Your reading comprehension is horrible.
Broussard has the Lakers winning in 5.
Or a better matchup for Yao.... Yao dominates traditional centers that play him straight up.
Regardless if Bynum plays good or bad aginst Yao all we want from Drew is Defense and rebounding not the superstar pressure Yao has on his shoulders.. Artest starting 2 talk trash already thats great didnt went well 4 him the last time he talked bad 2 KB lol Houston is good but Lakers are better and will win this series
any chance that the Rockets had against LA went down the tube when Mutombo got injured IMO ... Luis is physcial , but he'll have the same problem a guy like Kurt Thomas had guarding Gason (or Bynum) and that's just that he's too short ... Phil will definitely expose that with either Bynum or Gasol ...
only way the Rockets can win is if they limit Kobe to 40% shooting or below ... and only a Finals appearence will do that ...

Bynum obviously didn't get his sweet foot work from his father.
ironic coming from a rockets fan who has Yao as his team's center
He did get the fragility though.
Is it just me or does Bynum look like a skinny version of that kid that played Fat Albert in the movie about five years back?
Sadly, the nice foot work probably won't mean jack in a couple of years thanks to those glass knees of his.
bynum should stfu. yao would own his ass. bynum barely made an impact against the jazz. i reckon, even luke walton had a better series than him.![]()
Bynum will be better than Yao in two years.
