The Texans ranked higher than the Cowboys.

If power rankings meant anything I would be happy.

Power rankings make a ton of sense on May 4th, what with everything that's happened on the field for us to evaluate. Great job, CBS.

Funny how we (Dolphins) drop 14 spots in an offseason. I could see us not being as good as last year but give us some credit.

    Patriots/Colts/Chargers = Class of AFC

    Eagles/Cardinals/Vikings = Class of NFC

I predict a Patriots vs. Eagles SB.

The Patriots will have Tom Brady back, which obviously will help quite a bit. The offense likely won't be as high-powered as it was in 2007. However, getting Fred Taylor SHOULD help their run game. If Taylor runs like his old self, their offense will be absolutely scary though, possibly better (not statistically) than in 07, due to versatility. However, he, along with that O-Line, aren't really on the young side anymore. Maroney will get hurt 4 games into the year and puss out as usual. Their defense seems solid, but not great. They still have a damn good front 7, but their secondary yet again, will be a major question, and likely the achillies heel of their defense, especially at the CB position.

But there is one thing that must be repeated... Tom Brady will be back. And that's pretty much all they need to get back to the SB (or at least the AFC Championship game), despite having quite a few flaws and question marks through the rest of their team makeup. Not to mention having probably the best coach in Football in Bill, and then there's still that one guy running deep, Randy Moss.

The Eagles defense was absolutely sick after they got healthy and had some time to gel with their newer and younger pieces last year. Sure they lost Dawkins, but they got a solid replacement still in Sean Jones, and Mikell is a uva safety as well. Adding Maclin was great, and suddenly they have probably the fastest core of recievers in the league, with Maclin, Jackson, and Curtis. The RB they picked up in the second round to back up Westbrook was a nice addition as well.

But will Westy finally stay healthy? Can McNabb stay healthy for another full season? How will the whole ordeal with Ellis Hobbs and Sheldon Brown work out? Will Brown remain disgruntled and be traded? If so, then that will not be good for the secondary, as they already generally have trouble with big recievers, and Hobbs is even smaller than Brown, not nearly as skilled, and is much better suited as a nickel back. While Philly's front office does a great job of managing their players, drafts very well and finds ways to keep an infusion of young talent coming in as older guys go out (they are arguably the best in the league at doing that), they are extremely cheap. While it seems like a dumb idea that they didn't pay Dawkins, they have generally had a good history in these situations, such as when Corey Simon left because they didn't pay him... then they ended up getting Patterson and Bunkley. When Trotter left, they got Stewart Bradley. So it will be interesting to see how they deal with the loss of Dawkins. While i think that their players are capable of making up for the loss on the field, the loss on the sidelines and lockerroom is where the concern lies. Who will be their emotional leader? Something to watch, most definitely.

But yes, my pre-preseason prediction is Eagles vs. Patriots in the SB.

The Bills at 19? What? Drop that traling 9 and we have a winner here.

    My top 5 would be

    1. New England
    2. NY Giants
    3. San Diego
    4. Minnesota
    5. Indianapolis

People are severely overrating the Eagles offseason. I saw them getting weaker. Getting Maclin is nice but rookie WR's are the least dependable players in football. Maybe he gives them a boost, but probably not. He won't get good until next season.

For once I'm buying into the San Diego hype. Right as alot of people are giving up on them. If LT keeps his prima donna act to a minimum and lets Phil Rivers run the show, the Chargers are in great shape.

Dallas isn't nearly as bad as people are saying they are.

    Watch out for the Packers.

Preseason SB pick - Patriots vs. Vikings

I guess after years of under performing the Cowboys are finally throw into the middle-pack instead of being thought of as a strong team. But...............this year they'll be healthy, and the locker room will be more focused. Haven't heard that one before, right? GO COWBOYS!!!

    My picks:

    1) New England
    2) Pittsburgh
    3) NY Giants
    4) Cardinals
    5) Indy

New England is the obvious #1. The G-Men get Osi back and they also signed some new defensive players. They have the deepest, most complete defense in the NFC and arguably the NFL. Cardinals are there simply cause their division gives them 6 easy wins and they made the superbowl. I expect their extremely overrated offseason to bite them in the ass this year.

The teams that will be worse than we all think:
    Philly, Minnesota, Tennessee, Atlanta, Baltimore

The teams that will be better than we all think:
The Jets, Green Bay, Carolina, Tampa, Seattle.
