Fox Plans "Deadpool" Spin-Off Film
20th Century Fox is developing a "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" spin-off featuring Deadpool says The Hollywood Reporter.
Ryan Reynolds is attached to reprise the wise-cracking mercenary character for what for now is simply being called "Deadpool".
Lauren Shuler Donner and Marvel Studios would act as producers and the project is currently out to writers.
One of the alternate post-credits ends to 'Wolverine' hints that the film would explore the origins of the character.

Well if they actually make him look and act like the real comic book version at least to some degree it'd be entertaining.
Oh who am I kidding, Fox blows at movies.
they make it, or good..ppl will go watch it as long the money comes in.....
and they release another one.....watever happen to producing good fkn movies....
cant wait for the venom spin off....
YES! I love Deadpool specially if he's gonna be like the one in the HULK VS animated movie.
so a ty spinoff of a ty spinoff of a comic book movie series? Sounds about right for Hollywood![]()
Are you a movie freak peewee?
Yea, but I don't know how I feel about a Deadpool spin off, especially since Fox has made such re ed productions lately.
By now, people should know to expect your basic cookie-cutter Hollywood comic book movie. Maybe in another half century directors will treat Comic Book movies like Jackson treated LoTR.
Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and Iron Man are the way comics should be made into movies.
Everything else, with the exception of X2 (even though I have problems with it as well), is pretty much mediocre at best.
i guess you haven't talked to many hard core tolkien fans. but anyways, what's the point? they make money, which is the primary goal.
spider man 1 & 2 were good, if you cut out the ty Mary Jane they were great films. Also the Director's Cut of Daredevil is decent Fox cut out some good stuff for time constraints
I agree on the first two Spidey flicks, but I haven't seen the Daredevil Director's Cut. They could've done without Elektra in that movie.
No idea the backstory on this "test footage," but holy jesus balls, is it fantastic.
Video Game?
Weird that the potential of an R rating for Deadpool depends mostly on the amount of blood shown. I think I've seen more blood in twenty episodes of Hannibal on NBC than I ever have in the movies.
...can't wait.
