I'd be shocked if Houston wins Game 5.
If the Lakers fail to beat Houston in this series, it's going to seriously damage Kobe's credibility as one of the greatest SGs ever for the rest of his career.
I think it will be more damaging to Phil Jackson's reputation than anyone else's.
Kobe's had a pretty good series thus far statistically and is a huge reason why they even won two games.

thats where the lakers have an advantage. i dont watch too many lakers games but i dont imagine kobe NOT showing up for 4 games. as long as everyone else doesnt suck big time, lakers always have the kobe card to play.

I don't see how Kobe can fall past #3 on all-time SG list, and I really don't even like Kobe.

2. West/Kobe
#2 is a toss up, but Kobe still has more years to add to his legacy.
I think the problem with evaluating Kobe is people are trying to cast him into Jordan's mold. I personally don't believe Kobe Bryant is a great team leader. He's not terrible as Spur fan would have you believe, but he's not a natural born leader. His natural personality is reserved and withdrawn. Kobe tries to lead, but you can tell it's not natural for him.
What he IS, is a cold blooded assassin. He is one of the best offensive weapons this league has ever seen. He IS the Mamba. IMHO for him to win championships the Lakers will need to bring in some guys that can provide leadership for the team.
Let Kobe focus on what he does best. Scoring.
