He's asked about Mahinmi going to ASVEL, the club he's involved in as a owner, and TP answers that Ian will stay in SA and will have an important season for his future because Splitter isn't coming to SA and Ian will have a chance to play.
don't know if TP has any fresh inside news about splitter's situation, but he doesn't seem too optimistic about him coming to SA obviously.
ouch
that's really bad for both
the spurs and splitter
Might he mean that he just isnt coming next year (09-10)?
But, but, but "TAU has financial issues"
Same club that has just signed 3 expensive free agents just for Spanish playoffs. Same club that has give Eliyahu a huge contract offer. Like I say, no chance Splitter will be leave TAU until Spurs can offer much bigger contract. So earliest could be 2010.
In context, did he mean just this year or ever? If it is just this year, that is not a surprise.
Yes that is what he means.

Splitter wasn't going to be the Spurs savior, I assure you.
He mean just this year I am sure. By time Splitter comes though it will not matter probably. Spurs is getting to old to wait for him.
If Splitter comes to San Antonio will be in 2010
not a savior; but a really great role player
the spurs really need splitter
Bourousis is better than Splitter. Spurs just need to get him.
I hope for the Spurs sake that Ian turns out to be more than he has shown thus far. I still have no idea why people have such unrealistically high opinions of him.
I don't have an opinion on Ian until he's proven something on the court. He looks really good next to Duncan in NBA Live '09 though.![]()
Mahinmi made the trip to L'ASVEL with Parker. Some newspaper have then started a rumor that Spurs would loan Mahinmi to L'ASVEL next year. The little problem is that NBA teams can't loan players.
That's why a journalist asked if Mahinmi would be with L'ASVEL next year.
And Splitter has never been close to sign with Spurs this summer. It's a long shot.
Here we go again.....![]()
Yeah and we know how reliable euroleague rumors are
tp knows splitter is a long shot right now
splitter maybe plan e
Did TP say anything about Lebron coming to the Spurs?
He IS better than Splitter. Splitter is very good but he for sure not in the level that Spurs fans think he is.
Because you're looking at the future Amare Stoudamire...
It made more sense for Splitter to wait another year until he would no longer be subject to rookie cap restrictions.
I don't see why this would surprise anyone.
You would be surprised.
did you just say Ian is going to be as good as Stoudamire? did you really just say that
