I disagree seeing the Lakers in the playoffs I have no doubt Cleveland will be celebrating thier 1st le.
It's a foregone conclusion that LA will win the le, but god they look horrible even against compe ion. Then Denver and Cleveland next round? No Garnett, no Ginobili, no McGrady, no Yao? They have lucked in to a ridiculously easy le run. Is this the worst le team of the last 20 years? I mean, Miami had defenders and Wade was every bit the player Bryant is.

Really? I don't see that as a foregone conclusion at all.
06 heat didnt win
Mr. Wade disagrees
Let it go just admit you got beat. Your worse then Nash still saying the Spurs have 3 les.
theres a reason the heat didnt look impressive in victory
cause they were winning games they were not supposed to thanks to refs.
what did they do well? defend? protect the basketbalL? shoot free throws? score?
we remember spurs for D
pistons for D, Celtics for D
Lakers for Shaq/Kobe dominance
Bulls for... awesomeness
Cheat? remembered for whistles
L.A is talented and deep, but too soft
The Lakers are still the favorites, IMO, to win the le.
If they do, they'll definately be the worst champion in the past 25 years (at least). Slightly worse than the Heat. It's almost equivalent to the 2005-07 Suns winning a le.
Just off the top of my head, of the teams that won a championship in the past 20 years... these will have been worse than these 09 Lakers:
06 Mavericks
95 Rockets
99 Spurs
07 Spurs
LMAO!!!!!
Disregarding your first choice, LMAO!
99 Spurs were one of the most dominant team defensively in decades.
07 Spurs were vastly superior and more balanced than the 09 Lakers.
95 Rockets had the 94 MVP and arguably could've won the 95 MVP, and had some of the clutchest shooters in recent memory.
06 Mavs are pussies; maybe even moreso than the 09 Lakers.
95 Rockets? LMAO. The team that beat 3 60 win teams and a 59 win team despite not having homecourt? The 95 Rockets would beat the 09 Lakers in 5... 6 max.
99 Spurs? 15-2 vs pushed to the brink by a team missing its two best players? OK.
The 07 Spurs took care of all the inferior compe ion they had and played ing defense. They'd beat the 09 Lakers in 6 max.
LMAO Lakers. They should have won this series in 5.
I would like to see this pussy of a Laker team up against the 99 Spurs. Might have been a sweep. Stupid list.
How would that've mattered? You still would've lost to Dallas is six or seven instead![]()
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha
lol, the 1999 Spurs ran a train through the playoffs going 16-2. They went 37-13 in the regular season, that's roughly 60 games when projected over an 82 game season. Their defensive rating that year was 95.0, two points better than any other team. The 1999 Spurs would have face ed the 2009 Lakers.
The 2006 Mavs didn't win a le.
lol the 1995 Rockets. The Dream would have destroyed Gasol, Odom or Bynum.
Some Spurs fans will be mad at this, but the 2007 Spurs would have had a tough time against this Laker team. The 2007 NBA in general was just ty. The 2007 Suns and 2007 Mavs are no way in 60 win teams this season. It would have been a close series with a game 6 or 7 but IMO the talent gap is pretty big.
why do mav fans think they won when everyone knows they didn't sure the refs sucked, that doesn't mean mavs won, they lost
![]()
06 Mavs > 07 Spurs
Spurs fans thanks the Warriors every night for that one.
03 Mavs > 03 Spurs
2003*
*-Dirk got hurt
I agree DoK.
The 2007 NBA season did seem to be kinda ty.
The decline of the Mavs and Suns wasn't even THAT drastic, although there was certainly a decline. The West and NBa as a whole got much stronger and the FO's made some bad moves/some core players got older/the shots just stopped falling.
for example, my 2006 NBA champion Dallas Mavs which won a championship would have no shot against healthy Boston and Cleveland IMO, not sure how they do v Lakers though.
Mavs 2010 NBA Champs though (and 2006!)
LOL. The 07 Spurs dominated their ty eastern conference opponent in the Finals, and were healthier in 07 than 06. No way the 07 Mavs were going to do against the Spurs; they peaked in March and went downhill fast.
Yeah, if you're going to criticize a Spurs championship team, you go with the 2003 team with Robinson having one foot out the door and Parker and Ginobili not yet the contributors they later became. That is often lauded by Spurs fans as Tim Duncan's most impressive season for almost single-handedly carrying that team to a le.
The 95 Rockets were a great team especially after trading for Drexler. I'd say the 94 Rockets were less impressive. You can't just look at the regular season with the 95 Rockets because Drexler played less than half the season with them and Hakeem missed a bunch of games too.
The 06 Heat were one of the weaker championship teams in a while, but even if Dallas won, they would have been one of the weaker champs too. Even in his decline, Shaq was still a presence down low and forced teams to play him, at least pay attention to him. The supporting cast was weak, but an old Shaq and Wade is still a very strong championship duo.
