Silver Stars Host Tacos 'n Tennies For Charity
SAN ANTONIO - Want to ante up for a game of Texas Hold 'Em with Becky Hammon? Maybe challenge Sophia Young to a friendly game of Wii tennis?
Join the San Antonio Silver Stars at La Hacienda, 18747 Redland Rd, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., on Thursday, June 4, for Tacos 'N Tennies. Tickets are $25, which includes a taco buffet, non-alcoholic drinks, parking and a special Silver Stars gift with proceeds from the event benefitting Animal Care Services. Silver Stars season ticket holders can contact season ticket services at (210) 444-5697 to receive preferred pricing for the event.
Fans can make donations to play games with players, have items autographed or take pictures with players and Fox to raise funds to purchase needed items for San Antonio's furry four-legged friends. Animal Care Services is dedicated to making San Antonio a city in which every animal receives responsible care and their strategic plan will help guide the community to achieve a "no kill" goal by 2012.

The Silver Stars open the 2009 season on the road at Phoenix June 6 before coming home to host the New York Liberty on June 13 for the home opener and 2008 Western Conference banner unveiling.
