George Karl's son, he used to play for the Lakers too.
The radio on ESPN in DFW just reported that George Karl has flown in Coby Karl on his own dime to speak with the entire Nuggets team about the triangle and how to help stop it.gotta give credit to GK for trying everything he can to win.
George Karl's son, he used to play for the Lakers too.
If by play you mean preseason, summer league, and sitting on the bench during real games, then yes, he played for LA.
They're getting desperate
He was released by the Lakers at the beginning of the season. He plays in Spain now.
lmao that is the funniest thing I've heard.
is karl that stupid that he cant just look at the tape? its not like this is some new offenes
put bowen on kobe and duncan in the middle
It's not like it's a big deal that it's "on his own dime" when it's his son.
And, has the triangle really been the difference anyway? You could have the Minnesota Timberwolves run the triangle but that won't make them le contenders. And the last two seasons, it seems like the Lakers players break off from the triangle quite a bit. I think I read somewhere that Phil has been a lot more open and lenient on them to do so. You can see Kobe playing pick-and-roll at the top of the key and Gasol getting normal post-ups that aren't necessarily run through the triangle.
It does stink of desperation.
Because that worked last year in the conference finals.![]()
Are the Nuggets smart enough to understand the triangle offense?
George Karl should fly in Jason Kidd and Steve Nash to show the Nuggets how to make an out of bounds pass.
GK: So son, what did you learn while on the Lakers.
CK: Ok dad, I learned that their luggage is pretty heavy . They like thier gatorade pretty cold. Thats it.
well kobe is not playing the way he played last year so it may work
Spurs the team of the decade !
Defend the Triangle? Just play hard man to man defense and defend those side screens they set. Put your top defender on Kobe and use your noggin on team defense to help. What else is there? That's why the General, "Bobby Knight" always played a hard nosed man to man defense. Effective against any gimmick offense.
that triangle only works for the Cavs this year. lol
That's like Bill Veeck trying to teach T-ballers how to hit a Nolan Ryan fastball

Ahhh !!!!! Were gonna lose tonight. Well, at least we play game 7 at staples!
Unfortunately, no team has yet figured out how to defend this triangle defense.
