I know old... just figured some of us would like to see it again
I should have taken that advice this weekend. =\ 6 hours of Ultimate Frisbee. It was cool & raining when we started, and by the time I realized it was hot & sunny enough out to get a bad sunburn, it was a bit late.
Need to balance outdoor activities. Build up a tan so sunscreen isn't necessary.
the body needs UV to some extent. Cholesterol in the blood is converted, then the liver changes this to Vitamin D!
There have also been studies that show people who get tanned have less cancer. Sure, they have higher incidents of skin cancer, but less instances of nearly all other forms of cancer!
Just keep from getting burned. That's when you do damage to the skin. Otherwise, try to get a tan.
